The Broadway musical has its roots in England’s late 19th century musical comedies. As children listen to great show tunes, they learn about vocal timbre (the different sounds of singing voices).
Our featured Broadway songs have been specially chosen to capture your child's interest and match his or her abilities. With repetition, they develop memory for the song which is demonstrated by smiles and expressions of anticipation for the surprise ending.
Get ready to sing and dance as we open the curtain to our own Broadway musical!

Our social skill focus in our School Skills class this week is Relatedness. This is the ability to engage with others based on a sense of understanding and being understood by others.
Relatedness describes the emotional connections children develop with others which are based on trust and intimacy. Through relationships, children discover who they are and learn to understand others.
Establishing a healthy, satisfying relationship with another person-whether it is a teacher or a peer-is essential to success in both school and life.
